**All check in's and check out's must be on a Saturday** Enjoy an island vacation in your very own private, tropical hide-a-way in our historic and tropical “Lobster Cottage” located just across the street from the Gulf of Mexico in the popular village area where the beautiful Sanibel and Captiva islands meet. Lobster Cottage is a tastefully decorated, fully furnished, fun and comfortable “island” style near-beach cottage. The home provides easy access at ground level and is a comfortable 1 Bed / 1 Bath with all the modern conveniences that sleeps 2. Want to get some sun or cook out? Just step outside to your own large private deck surrounded by tropical foliage providing even more room for sunning, relaxing, or cooking the daily catch (on the grill) while you enjoy the peaceful and tropical surroundings.
The Living Room area boasts a comfortable sofa, recliner chair, 37” flat screen TV, small eat-in dining area and 2 closets/storage. The Kitchen is open to the living room and is fully equipped with new appliances. The updated Master Bedroom includes a King Size Bed, 22' flat screen TV, closet, and the full bathroom includes a tiled tub/ shower combination. High speed internet access is included for those who would like a working vacation. Private parking is included and just steps from the from the front of the house. Beach towels and chairs are also included for your needs as well as a shared and full laundry room.
Amazing Location! Literally just a 2 minute walk to the the best shelling and sunset beach on Sanibel! Blind Pass, widely regarded as one of the best fishing spots in the entire area, is only a 3 minute walk away! Billy’s bike rentals can also be arranged to deliver to the house and has a variety of bike options to fit your needs.
Pet Friendly Policy: We welcome up to 2 dogs for an extra $150/each, but unfortunately cannot accept the following: Pit Bull, Chow Chow, Akita, Husky, Doberman, Wolf Hybrid, Presa Canaroso, Rottweiler, and Staffordshire Terriers.

Romantic and cozy
Me and my husband vacationed in Sanibel the week of August 24 -30, stayed in Lobster Cottage, and it was amazing! Chip is absolutely the best host! We were originally scheduled for the last week in June, but I had to have unexpected knee surgery. Chip was so kind, and accommodating, allowing to move our stay, and giving me time to recovery. He checked on us throughout the week, and offered suggestions on things to do while in Sanibel. I can’t say enough about Lobster Cottage, and his surrounding rentals. Our cottage was cozy and romantic. The landscaping is stellar, with palm trees, ferns, and other beautiful foliage. Blind Pass beach is steps away. We definitely plan to return and enjoy this magical place again. - [ ]
Little Piece of Heaven
We spent a wonderful week at this little cottage. Very clean and everything you need in a small space. Chip was fantastic, by far the most proactive we have had the pleasure of staying with. Location is everything here. Beach and wonderful little places to eat are within walking distance. The Key Lime French Toast at the Sunset grill was quite a treat. Don’t miss the private bay front sitting area for Lobster Cottage. We saw a dolphin cruising a few feet away, a small shark swam by, and the birds are so much fun to watch! We will be back!

Lobster Cottage
This place was amazing! Lobster Cottage was just what we needed to relax and recharge for the week. We had rabbits and owls in the yard, a two minute walk to the best beach spot on the island, a bay for kayaking with a launch practically right at our door, and a private area for grilling and hanging out on the porch. The shelling was amazing and Chip and his wife were the perfect hosts. We will definitely be back and are ready to check out the other cottages on his property.
Relaxing Quiet Perfect Vacation!
Lobster Cottage was the perfect vacation rental for us. Private, peaceful,and so relaxing! Close to Blind Pass for shelling for me,and fishing for my husband. Cottage is historical, rustic and tastefully decorated.Full kitchen for cooking ,microwave,and grill outside on the deck.Rates are reasonable. Sweetest little cottage on the island!
Thanks again Chip for sharing your family homes! We just loved both of our stays in your sweet little beach cottage. Its in the best location on the island. Short walk to Lazy Flamingo, Sunset Grill, The Mad Hatter, Santiva General Store, and the beach. Short bike or car ride to Captiva. You will not find a cuter or more comfortable little house for two anywhere on the island!
Cozy Cottage for Two
My husband and I spent a much needed week long stay at Lobster Cottage. The proximity to the beach and fishing was perfect. The cottage is clean and well appointed with "historical fisherman's cottage " charm. Having a grill and beach accessories made the experience complete. My husband enjoyed an afternoon nap in the hammock :) Sanibel is a majical place and the Lobster Cottage is a great place for peace and quiet on the beach.
Chip is the MAN!
Chip and Sam are the people you want for neighbors and we are so glad to have them as such for a week. The cottage was most comfortable and relaxing. The location is perfect, the beach is about 100 yards away, Lazy Flamingo 50 yards, we ate there about every other meal because it was such good food, the general store 50 yards away for beer runs. We are retired so the simple things in life are the most wonderful, this area is laid back, no hurry, not complex and all around great people. We will be back. Thanks Chip and Sam for a great stay!
Expectations Exceeded!
I spent a fantastic week at the Lobster Cottage! Everything was super clean (a big deal to me) and cozy. It far exceeded my expectaions for such a small cottage. Everything that you need is provided and in such a small space, that's impressive! Not that the space feels small in any way - it was perfect! Staying in a condo or hotel would have been a huge disappointment. The Lobster Cottage is truly magical. There were even Bald Eagles nesting in the top of a Ponderosa Pine right in our front yard! Spectacular! The shelling is definitely the best at the beach directly across the street at Blind Pass. I went to several beaches and even took a shelling cruise which didn't have near the treasures that I found right here. And, the sunsets - WOW! The hosts are gracious and are there to help make your trip perfect but are not intrusive at all. I highly recommend staying with the Wolfe's on your vacation to Sanibel/Captiva. I can't wait to return! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
A slice of heaven
I've just spent a week at Lobster Cottage, and from the first day, I knew I had found a perfect retreat/vacation spot. Chip was very accommodating, helping me find paddle board rentals, bike rentals, restaurants, etc. Both he and Samantha made sure I wanted for nothing. The cottage is quaint and cozy, hidden away, and just a short stroll to the magnificent beach where turquoise waters beckon. Shell seekers can't find a better place to hunt for their treasures. I chose to bike rather than to drive, and it was an easy and inexpensive way to get around. I promise to come back.
